Base yourself in Bormio and make the absolute most of your cycling holiday in Italy. See how you measure up against champions like Coppi and Pantani, testing your Giro d’ Italia skills on 88 hairpin bends (Stelvio Pass), twisting roads dating back to medieval times (Gavia Pass) and five roads leading to the summit (Mortirolo Pass).

You can also point your cycle towards St Moritz in Switzerland (Forcola and Bernina Passes). Return to your Bormio base at the end of the day for a spa, delicious cuisine and a well-earned rest in gorgeous scenery.

Trail Highlights

Tackle the Valtellina Extreme Brevet, Europe’s most difficult long-distance cycling route – 467km, with 12,118m of vertical stretches.

Take part in the Grandfondo Stelvio Santini, a classic Alpine race – tackling the Stelvio Pass and Mortirolo Pass in one day.

Climb 1,300m over 12 demanding kilometres on Mortirolo, with gradients approaching 14%.
